Our beloved John L. Aragon, Jr. left us too soon in his young life, passing away at his home surrounded by his loving family. John was born in Salinas, CA and transplanted to San Jose in 1978 his junior-high year. He attended Andrew Hill High School and received an Associates Arts degree from Evergreen Valley College.

His career was as a Master Glassblower for high tech industrial lighting companies in the Santa Clara Valley for about 18 years, then transitioned to an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist within his company, Excelitas (formerly PerkinElmer) in Fremont, completing over 20 years in the industry.

John was passionate about the things he loved, most importantly his family; his parents, wife, son, siblings, cousins and many, many friends.

His other passions included gourmet cooking and barbequing (favorite chefs were Rick Bayless, Bobby Flay and Daisy Martinez), playing his bass a! nd his electric-acoustic guitar, listening to classic and progressive rock music, golfing, photography, escaping on adventures with his wife, spoiling his son, spending time with family and friends, and just relaxing at home with his dog Hunter and watching the Food Network or CNN.

John is the beloved husband of Lisa, married 24 years. They met in their 20’s, dated four years and then married, sharing their love and friendship for 28 years, making their home in Morgan Hill most of those years. They have a son, Joseph Aragon who is their pride and joy and currently serving in the US Navy.

Joey brought the family a wonderful wife, Brittney (Matthews) Aragon whom John adored. John was always laid-back and insightful, with the best sense of humor. He would greet you with a hug and knew how to make everyone laugh with his quick wit and crazy sense of humor.

John is survived by his loving and heartbroken wife Lisa Aragon, loving son Joseph Aragon and adored daughter-in-law Brittney Aragon of Morgan Hill, his mother Marie Aragon of Madera and father John Aragon, Sr. of Madera, brother Michael Aragon (Jennifer) of Pollock Pines, Sister Cynthia Parra (Lino) of Lucerne Valley, CA.
