Hollister native and life long resident Isabel M. Lemos passed away Oct. 21st at Mabie Skilled Nursing Center Southside at the age of 74 years. Isabel attended Sacred Heart School and was a graduate of Hollister High School.

In addition to being a homemaker for 54 years, operating the family ranch and the former Ed Lemos Nursery with her late husband Edward J. Lemos, Isabel was a member of the Y.L.I. , the Red Hatters, Sacred Heart Parish, and the Sociedad Espanola De San Benito. “She was devoted to her family, enjoyed her grandchildren, liked working in her garden, enjoyed barbecues around the swimming pool, and taking trips to Tahoe and Reno”, said her children.

Surviving Isabel are her children and their spouses; Janice and David Young, Joyce & Frank Guerra, Eddie Lemos Jr. and Linda, Dennis and Catalina Lemos, all of Hollister, and Patty and Phil Larios of Chico, her grandchildren; Justin, Rebecca, Meredith, and Addison Larios, Dana, Tracy, Trenton, and Cortney Young, Joshua, Morgan, Sofia, and Laci Lemos, Trevor, Taylor, Tanner, and Amy Guerra, step-grandchildren Brianna, Bobby and Joey, her sisters and their husbands; Dolly and Donald Pidd, and Angie and Kenneth Klauer, and nieces & nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Peter Martin and sister Josephine Morrow. Friends are invited to visit at the chapel of the Grunnagle Ament Nelson Funeral Home, 870 San Benito St., Hollister on Friday, October 27th, beginning at 10:00 am. Family and friends will leave the mortuary at 12:30 pm to proceed to Sacred Heart Church for a Mass of The Resurrection beginning at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the patient recreational activities fund at Mabie Skilled Nursing Center Southside, c/o the mortuary chapel.
