Hilaria Sylvia Alvarez passed away on February 14, 2007. She was a native of Acoponata, Nayarit, Mexico. She moved to Monterey County and lived there for 39 years. She was a laborer in agriculture for 33 years.

Survivors are her mother, Soledad Benavidez of Salinas, two sons, Xavier (Sonia) Alvarez, and Ruben (Maria) Alvarez of Salinas, grandchildren: Vanessa, Xavier Jr., Ceasar, David, Emmanuel, Noemi, Ruben Jr., Mark, and Linda.

Friends may call Thursday, February 15, 2007 1 – 9 P.M. at Healey Mortuary.

The Rosary-Vigil will be Thursday, 7 P.M., February 15, 2007, at the Healey Mortuary Chapel. Services will be Friday, February 16,2007 at 1 P.M. at Christ the King Church in Salinas. Cremation to be conducted under the direction of Healey Crematory Co.
