Hermelinda Moreno, a longtime Gilroy resident, passed away at the age of 88 on Wednesday, October 18, 2006 after a lengthy illness.
Ms. Moreno was employed nearly 6 decades at the former Filice & Perrelli Canning Company which later became California Canners & Growers.
She is survived by her 6 children, Gloria Guerra of Celaya, Guanajuato, Mexico, Eva Lopez, Frank Godinez, Yolanda Soza, Louie Godinez and Jess Moreno, all of Gilroy. She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Viewing will take place 2:00 pm Sunday, Oct. 22nd at Habing Family Funeral Home, followed by the Vigil Service at 5:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be said 10:00 am Monday, Oct. 23rd at St. Mary Catholic Church.
