about the “poll” on Orchard Valley Soccer League I was appalled
that the Morgan Hill Times did not put it out for all to see in a
fair an unbiased way.

I’ve never written to the editor before but when I received word about the “poll” on Orchard Valley Soccer League I was appalled that the Morgan Hill Times did not put it out for all to see in a fair an unbiased way.
I’m a parent of a child who, if left to the disgruntled coach, would not be playing. Not because of her ability (she plays on the Clash C-1 team.) but because of politics. Did you know that there was a “tryout” for the C-1 team?
Parents of the girls not making the team because of their inability to play up, were very upset with the president. He did exactly what he was supposed to. He had tryouts. If not for a few self-centered individuals this poll would not exist. At this level of play it should be about the kids, nothing more, nothing less.
Unfortunately for the league these parents have their own agenda which, unfortunately does not have the best interest of the kids in mind.
My hope is OVYSL continues in the direction it’s going and if those parents are unhappy, then by all means get involved in the game and stop being sideline “want-to-be’s.”
