The Gavilan volleyball team is back to its winning ways.
The Rams rebounded from their loss to Foothill College with a 3-0 at Chabot College Friday. Gavilan was dominate, topping the Gladiators 25-18, 25-10, 25-11 to improve to an 18-7 overall record and 8-1 in the Coast Conference. 
Tasmin Apple once again led the way offensively, racking up 11 kills in the game. Jessica Stofer and Andreianna Castaneda added eight a piece, while Savanna Hartman had six kills. Sabina Gerard had 29 assists in the game. 
Karina Daniels dominated defensively, picking up 24 digs in the game. Daniels also added three aces. 
The Rams will be back on the court at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday to host West Valley in their second to last home game of the year.

Gavilan falls to Las Positas
Things looked promising for Gavilan heading into the second half against Las Positas College, but that changed rather quickly.
Jorge Sanchez was able to score as time expired in the first half off a penalty kick, tying the game at 1-1 with the visitors. But two second half goals — both from Rafael Perdoza in the 55th and 67th minutes — helped secure a 3-1 win for Los Positas over the Rams Friday at Gavilan. 
The loss drops Gavilan to a 5-13 overall record, 3-9 in conference play. 
Gavilan has just two games left in the regular season and will play its final home game at 3 p.m. Tuesday against De Anza College.
