Dolores M. Hernandez passed away in Hollister at the age of 92. She was born in Patillas, Puerto Rico.

In 1928, she came to New York with her mother and brother where she was raised before moving to Los Angeles, CA in 1948 with her husband, John Hernandez, who preceded her in death in 1985.

In 1951, she moved with her family to San Jose, CA where she worked at National Semi Conductor until her retirement in 1989 when she moved to Hollister, CA to be near her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Church, The Guadalupana Society, The Altar Society, Fishes and Loaves, a Eucharistic Minister and involved with home ministry.

Her brother, Ralph Fonseca, preceded her in death. Her daughter, Jerrilyn Kennedy of Hollister, her son, and his wife, John and Pam Hernandez of Modesto, CA, her niece and her husband, Yvonne and John Maderos of Danville, CA, her nephew Nolan Fonseca and his wife Carolyn of Clear Lake, CA and her sister in law, Elsie Fonseca of Walnut Creek survive her.

She is also survived by her grandchildren, Shannon Lynn Kennedy, Jerrilyn Shaun Kennedy, John Kennedy, David Kennedy, and John P. Hernandez, Darryl Hernandez, Dari Lynn Hernandez, Darren Hernandez, Kristine Hernandez, Mark Hernandez, and her great-grandchildren, Matthew O’Keefe, Michelle Hernandez, Rebecca Hernandez, Paul Hernandez, Taylor Hernandez, Julia Hernandez and Savannah Hyde.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 21, 2011, at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Church in Hollister. A reception will follow the Mass at the parish hall at Sacred Heart Church.
