David A. Diaz died at his father
’s home in Gilroy on Nov. 14, 2004, after a short illness. He
was 43.

David moved to Gilroy with his family in 1973. He attended Brownell Junior High and graduated from Gilroy High School in 1979. He worked as a welder for FMC (Food Machinery Corp.) in San Jose for 13 years.
David enjoyed camping and fishing with his daughter, nephews and nieces. He was a native of Monterey Park.
He is survived by his wife, Olivia Subia of Gilroy; son Bob Diaz of Gilroy; daughter Veronica Diaz of Arizona, brother Gary Diaz of Gilroy and Terry Godwin and her husband, Craig, of Auburn, nephews and neices James Gamino of Gilroy, Jaymie Gamino of Gilroy, Jason Gamino of Camp Pend-leton, Garron Diaz of Los Banos and Christina Diaz of Los Angeles.
He was great-uncle of four and also is survived by many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends in Gilroy.
He was preceded in death by his stepmother Terry Diaz (1995), daughter Michelle Rose Diaz (1987), brother Chris Diaz (2003).
Memorial Mass takes place at 1pm today, Nov. 20, at St. Mary’s Church.
Arrangements were under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.
