Connie M. Escobedo May 12, 1942 – August 31, 2013

The Rosary will be on Friday, September 6, 2013 at 7:00 P.M., at Black Cooper Sander Funeral Home. The Mass will be on Saturday, September 7, 2013, at 10:00 A.M., at St. Benedict Catholic Church. Friends can gather at the funeral home on Saturday morning at 9:15 A.M. for a procession to the church. Interment will follow the Mass at Calvary Cemetery. Condolences: www.blackcoopersander.com
 Connie M. Escobedo passed away at home in Hollister at the age of 71. She was born in Tamaulipas, Mexico and lived in Hollister for many years working both in the cannery and in the fields.
 She was a devoted follower of Cesar Chavez and involved with the United Farm Workers Union. She was a member of Sacred Heart/St. Benedict Catholic Church.
 She is survived by her children, Diana J. Garcia of Houston, TX, Lori Ann Mercado of San Diego, Frank Garcia of Fresno, Angie Garcia of Los Banos, Jose E. Garcia of Corcoran, Santiago Cavazos of Hollister, Jesse Escobedo of Hollister and Veronica Escobedo of Hollister, her brothers and sisters, Hortencia, Lupe, Marta, Richard and Tony and her grandchildren, David, Jesse, Mariah, Victoria E., Adam, Daniel, Luciano, Guadalupe, Jesus (Chuchi), Ricardo, Jose, Celina, Damien, Gabriel, Alicia, Eva, Samuel, Heli, Carolyna, Alez, Frank, Lucia, John, Yesenia, Aaron, Andrew,  Adrian, Ashley and Victoria.
 She was preceded in death by her son, Noel D. Garcia.
