Hospice of the Valley (HOV) has relocated to a new location in San Jose. The new address is 4850 Union Ave., in San Jose. The 16,000-square-foot, standalone, two-story building will accommodate the growing demand for the organization's core services and programs while  expanding their community services and programs for end-of-life care in Santa Clara County.

Morgan Hill - A controversial land-use initiative lured another lawsuit Friday, this one filed in Superior Court alleging ballot arguments in favor of the environmental measure include "brazenly" false statements intended to mislead voters at the polls.

The California State Legislature approved AB 2496, water conservation legislation authored by Assemblymember John Laird (D-Santa Cruz) that would set new water flush volume standards by making use of existing high-efficiency toilet technology. All new homes, schools, office buildings and other construction would be required to utilize high-efficiency toilets. The legislation enjoys broad support from water conservation groups, plumbers, environmentalists and toilet manufacturers. The bill, sponsored by the California State Pipe Trades Council, now heads to the governor for his signature.
