Swing by Reach Out, an emergency food distribution center located in a portable building in the back parking lot behind St. Catherine’s Church at 17400 Peak Ave. The volunteer-run charitable organization has been open since 1982 and serves on a monthly basis 400 needy families living in Morgan Hill, San Martin and Coyote.

Cultural Center Celebrates 10-year anniversary with string of cool events

Dec. 7 marks the 10th anniversary of the Morgan Hill Community and Cultural Center, and local organizations and entertainers plan to celebrate the milestone with a series of events over the next six months.

Locals lend a hand to victims of Sandy

The American Red Cross Silicon Valley Chapter has sent 18 more local volunteers to New York and New Jersey, in addition to the 20 previously deployed, to provide assistance to clients affected by superstorm Sandy and the Nor’Easter along the coast. A total of 127 volunteers have now been deployed from the Monterey and San Francisco Bay Areas – including Tom Busk of Gilroy and Patricia DeWitt of Morgan Hill.
