The Morgan Hill Wine Stroll saw the usual eager crowds, plus some exciting first-time features that organizers hope to continue in the future for the annual downtown wine tasting event that highlights Santa Clara Valley wineries.
MHCF to dole out $5,500 in grants
The Morgan Hill Community Foundation is scheduled to present its spring 2013 grant awards to local winners Thursday, May 23 at a private reception at Clos La Chance Winery. The celebration also honors MHCF donors who provide funds for the grants and support other ongoing projects.
Going the distance
From the scorching Saturday morning heat of Napa Valley, through an uncharacteristically clear late night across San Francisco’s Golden Gate Bridge, to a stormy, overcast Sunday afternoon at Santa Cruz’s coastal Natural Bridges State Park, two local relay teams ran for about 30 hours last weekend without stopping, assisted by little sleep and loads of teammate camaraderie.
