Community support helps keep youth center open

The City of Morgan Hill, community organizations and local residents have joined the El Toro Youth Center’s parent organization - Catholic Charities of Santa Clara County - in raising money for the center after a financial scare earlier this year threatened to shut the facility down, according to authorities. The El Toro Youth Center will remain open at least for the rest of this year, thanks to the “community support,” Catholic Charities CEO Greg Kepferle said. Now the youth center’s supporters will continue working on a “sustainability” plan to find permanent sources of funding to keep the facility open forever.
