Due to an editor's error, an Oct. 2 Morgan Hill Times story about the Santa Clara Valley Water District's resolution banning the purchase of bottled water mistated the time period during which the district purchased the commodity. According to district spokeswoman Susan Siravo the agency stopped purchasing bottled water in 2002 when an administrative policy was adopted by the district prohibiting its purchase. The recent ordinance formalizes such a policy and bans the sale of bottled water at its San Jose headquarters cafeteria and vending machines supplied by private contractors.
