CITY OF MORGAN HILL – PUBLIC NOTICE

NOTICE OF VACANCY MORGAN HILL PLANNING COMMISSION
The City of Morgan Hill is seeking applications from residents interested in serving an unexpired term on the Planning Commission. There is one (1) vacancy to be filled with a term beginning upon appointment and ending June 1, 2017. The City of Morgan Hill encourages residents to submit applications for appointment consideration. The individual appointed will be invited to apply for re- appointment prior to the June 1, 2017 ending date.
The Planning Commission performs duties and exercises power and authority with regard to planning, subdivisions, zoning, zoning administration, residential development control, and other land use regulatory controls as prescribed by ordinance and state law. The Commission serves as an advisory body to the City Council on Zoning and General Plan related matters. The Commission is a seven-member body, and each commissioner serves a term of four years and meets on the second and fourth Tuesday of each month.
Application forms and appointment information are available on the City of Morgan Hill website www.morganhill.ca.gov or in the City Clerk’s Office, 17575 Peak Avenue, Morgan Hill, CA at telephone number (408) 779-7271. Applications will be accepted in the City Clerk’s Office until Thursday, January 12, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.; or until filled. Interviews before the City Council are tentatively scheduled for Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at 6:00 p.m.
