Final signups for booster golf tourney

There are still a few spots available for people who have waited until the last minute to sign up for the Live Oak booster golf tournament Friday, Oct. 3 at Eagle Ridge Golf Course and Country Club in Gilroy.

But the slots in the 144-person event are going quickly. Contact tournament coordinator Deb Guidry immediately at 778-9467 so the final number can still be turned in.

Don’t golf, or not interested in spending a day on the beautiful links, you can still help to keep the sports programs at Live Oak going by purchasing a ticket to the buffet dinner that included complementary wine in the evening. The cost is $35. Great prizes will be raffled off then.

Included with the round of golf are the use of a golf cart and complimentary beverages on the course. “Tee prizes” will be available, with South County Chevrolet presenting a new car for the “Hole in One” contest.

There will be a buffet breakfast before the tournament, and a buffet dinner along with silent auction and raffle afterwards. The cost is $175 per golfer.

Dinner dance and golf

The Paradise Valley Home and School Club will be presenting its Parents Night Out dinner/dance and golf tournament on Oct. 10 at Coyote Creek Golf Course. The cost is $40 a person for golf only and $150 a person for golf and dinner. The deadline to purchase tickets is Oct. 26. Details, Holly Salvotti at 683-4313 or at he******@sb*******.net.
