Gavilan aces
The Gavilan Niners held their May Ace Day at the Gavilan Golf Course on May 29, Ace for May was Doris Currie, Morgan Hill, net 27. First in the first flight was Donna Ashmore, Gilroy, net 29. Second was Peggy Woolf, Morgan Hill, net 30, and third was Barb Hagen, San Martin, net 30. First in the second flight was Dorris Currie, Morgan Hill, net 27, second was Phyllis Dollar, Morgan Hill, net 32 and third was Birgit Caparusso, Gilroy, net 34. Donna Ashmore and Doris Currie tied for low putts with 15. The Gavilan Niners play each Thursday at 8:30 a.m. at the Gavilan Golf Course in Gilroy. Details: Barb at 776-2983 or Jennie at 847-1330.
Baseball camp
The Live Oak baseball camp for kids ages 7-14 directed by Mark Cummins will be held June 16-20 at Britton Middle School. The fundamentals will be taught 9 a.m. to noon and the pitching session will be 12:30-2 p.m. The cost is $85 for the fundamentals session alone and $110 for both. Details: 782-9901.
