The South Valley Civic Theater announces auditions for “Arsenic and Old Lace,” 6:30pm, Aug. 3 and 1:30pm, Aug. 5 at the South Valley Civic Theater warehouse, 8565 Monterey Road, Gilroy. Read from script or monologue of choice. Show opens Sept. 14 and runs four weeks.

Wag-A-Bout
The Dog Owners Group and the Friends of San Martin Animal Shelter present the second annual Wag-A-Bout and 5K walk/run, 9am-3pm at the Dog Park at Community Park on W. Edmundson Avenue adjacent to the Centennial Recreation Center. Events include dog agility, sheep herding and dog contests. Race pre-registration at Web site listed below is $20 or $25 at the event.

Author Extravaganza

Breakfast is served 8-11am, the first Sunday of every month
