Live Oak High School and South County Cal-SOAP honored all senior students who are headed to college in the fall with its annual College Signing Day. Seniors and their parents were invited to the Live Oak HS campus May 1 to honor their accomplishments.
“At our College Signing Day, we celebrated all of our students, students attending a 2 or 4 year, vocational/trade, entering the work force, or military,” said Veronica Calderon, a South County Cal-SOAP Counselor at LOHS. “We are extremely proud of our Acorns.”
According to Calderson, the purpose of College Signing Day is “to celebrate our students accomplishments and give them a chance to share with their peeps and family where they plan to attend Fall 2019. Also, to remind the students that by 11:59pm May 1, students attending a 4-year school must submit a letter of intend.”
This event is a team effort from, the LOHS Counseling Team, the Associated Student Body/Leadership class, staff and administration.
