Bonnie L. Bates was born in Blue Earth, Minnesota. She passed in her Gilroy, CA home, surrounded by her loved ones, at the age of 84. She is preceded in death by her late husband Donald Bates. She is survived by her four children: Cheryl (Jay), Jimmy (Judy), Jeannine, David (Norma), her non biological sons: Jeff (Warsi), Dan (Fran), her devoted granddaughter Tammy, as well as grandchildren: Tracy (Terry) and Travis. She was preceded in death by her grandson Ken. She is survived by loved great-grandchildren: Maranda, Magen, Shaina, Hannah, Rebecca, and the apple of her eye, great-great-grandson Julius. Surviving four generations of children and extended family and friends will miss her dearly.
Bonnie had a heart bigger then life and dedicated it to her family and friends. She lived unconditional love. She loved her flower gardens, going fishing, reading, going on day gambling trips and activities with her best friend Wilma and senior club friends.
Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Gilroy, 8455 Wren Ave in Gilroy, CA on Saturday, April 14th at 1:30 P.M. Immediately following the services there will be a potluck in the Church fellowship hall. All family and friends are welcome to bring a dish and enjoy the celebration and memories of her life.
