A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 A.M, Thursday, April 25th, 2013, at the First Presbyterian Church, 2066 San Benito St. Hollister. Interment will be at I.O.O.F. Cemetery. With great sadness we announce the passing of Audrey Evanchak, 84, of Hollister, on Sunday, April 21st, 2013, following a series of health problems and prolonged illness.
She will always be remembered for her strong faith, friendship and loyalty. Born in Cedar Brook, NJ, Audrey moved to Hollister in 1973. She also lived in Delaware, NY, Republic of the Philippines and Utah.
She worked at Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital, E.A. Thompson Company and the Richardson Vicks Corp. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hollister.
Audrey had a passion for life, family and friends. She enjoyed travel, singing in the choir and gardening; she was member of the Republican Women. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Fred Evanchak.
Audrey is survived by brothers Don (Heidi) Fleming, Denver, Colorado; and Robert (Lyn) Fleming, Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Proud Mother of Nancy (Woody) Green, Layton, Utah; Bill (Helene) Taylor, Aiken, South Carolina; and Barbara (Ed) Mauro, Hollister. Grandmother to Dayna Leon, Judd Green, Bryan Leon, Jory Green, Stephanie Mauro, Cody Taylor, and Colleen Taylor. Great-grandmother to Payton Green, Stran Green, Hadlee Green, Adyson Cordova, and Mia Cordova.
