Ann E. Berry died Sunday, December 17, 2006, from injuries suffered in a tragic car accident that also took the life of her precious 10-year old daughter, McKenna Rose Berry. Born in San Jose, California, Annie lived in Morgan Hill with her family since 1983.

Ann was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Patricia and Robert Young, of Morgan Hill. Ann is survived by her loving and cherished daughter Starlyn Marie Berry of Union City. Ann was the dear sister of Lisa Aragon and husband John, of Morgan Hill; Kendall Young and wife Stephanie, of Sammamish, Wash.; and Wendy Wootton and husband Tod of Scott’s Valley, CA. She was Auntie to two nephews and a niece: Joseph Aragon, Collin Young and Krista Wootton and loving cousin to Patti Koeller and Staci Cetina and husband Jason of Washington, Diane Griffith of Virginia and Stacey Griffith of New York. Ann leaves many loving Curtis family members in Woodland, CA, including her dear Auntie Judy Curtis and her grandparents, Shannon and Frank Nobark.

Annie graduated from Oak Grove High School in San Jose. After high school she became a licensed nail technician working in South San Jose. She then worked locally providing light bookkeeping in Gilroy. Ann was a loving mother and had a huge heart which was devoted to her family, friends and many, many pets. In spite of the sadness that surrounded Ann after the passing of her parents, she was always in her family’s thoughts and healing prayers. In Heaven we know she is happy and in the loving arms of her parents. Her smile and loving ways will be remembered forever.

A memorial service in honor of Annie and in remembrance of McKenna was held Saturday, January 27, 2007 (separate services were held for McKenna on December 23, 2006). Family and friends gathered to share their love and memories for two people whose lives were cut so unexpectedly short. For more information, contact Johnson Funeral Home at 408-779-8456.
