HISTORY: Anime 101 and Manga Too opened its doors on Oct. 31, 2004. The comic book retailer has been serving the needs of South County customers since then.

PHILOSOPHY: Company’s main philosophy is the education, entertainment, and enrichment of lives through pop culture. Its biggest event is Free Comic Book Day, where it hands out free comic books to anyone who wants one. It also works closely with the Morgan Hill Library in support of its reading programs. It’s also sponsored Free Comic Book Day at the Morgan Hill Library this year. Next year, it plans to continue this support and will try to expand it by including the Gilroy Library. The business also participates in community events.

SERVICES: Company tries to offer a personal, knowledgable service recommending books and videos age appropriate for the reader. It also offers Anime Rentals, a subscription service. It also hosts Naruto and Yu-Gi-Oh collectable card game tournaments once a month and

it hosts once a month an Anime Club where it shows anime straight from Japan. Anime Club is free to anyone over the age of 15.
