“Hoss” Vickery of Gustine died Oct. 2, 2003 at Emanuel Medical
Center in Turlock. He was 80. Mr. Vickery, a native of Winfield,
Ala., had lived in Gustine for 33 years.
David Troy “Hoss” Vickery of Gustine died Oct. 2, 2003 at Emanuel Medical Center in Turlock. He was 80.
Mr. Vickery, a native of Winfield, Ala., had lived in Gustine for 33 years. He was a self-employed mechanic for 40 years. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Martin and was a past member of the Moose Lodge in Newman and a past member of the Masonic Lodge in Alabama.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Vickery of Gustine; children Troy W. Vickery Sr., David R. Vickery and Kathy Soesa, all of Gustine, Jimmey E. Vickery of Ceres, Luther R. Vickery of Woodville, Dorothy L. Gomes of Modesto and Judy Evans of Crows Landing; stepchildren Linda Smith of Sacramento and Beverly Donovan of Gustine; sister, Bertie Davis of Winfield, Ala.; 19 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service took place Oct. 4 at Hillview Funeral Chapel in Gustine. Burial was private.
Services were under the direction of Hillview Funeral Chapel in Gustine.
