The Gavilan College women’s basketball team won its first game of the season Tuesday night, toppling host Monterey Peninsula College by a wide 76-29 margin.

Sophomore captain Nicole Donley led the way with a team-high 20 points, while teammate Jenn Tremblay and Sabrina Murphy added 16 points apiece.

The Lady Rams will compete in the Hartnell College Tournament this weekend in Salinas before a road game on Tuesday against San Jose Christian at 5:30 p.m.
