Chase: After a 90-mph chase on southbound U.S. 101 that lasted about 3.5 miles, California Highway Patrol officers charged Luis Mendoza, 19, of Delano, with driving without a license, speeding and failure to yield of police on Tuesday. CHP officers said they turned on their red lights around the Tennant Avenue exit, and Mendoza didn’t pull over until just north of Masten Avenue. Numerous CHP officers and sheriff’s deputies took part in the car stop.

MORGAN HILL POLICE

Fraud: Morgan Hill Motors reported 12 checks stolen from the business check book, and at least four of the checks – for $2,000, $3,500, $200 and $6,500 – were cashed. The report was taken on Nov. 6 at 3:11 p.m.

Auto burglary: A cell phone was stolen from an unlocked Jeep at the Shell gas station. The report was taken on Nov. 6 at 3:49 p.m.

• A resident of Mira Bella Court reported medication, pictures, cash and earrings were stolen from her purse inside her vehicle. The report was taken at 7:20 p.m. on Nov. 7.

• A resident of the Carriage Drive Apartments reported the resident’s locked Honda Accord was broken into and the stereo was stolen. The report was taken on Nov. 8 at 11:09 a.m.

Arrests and citations: A 17-year-old Gilroy male was cited and released charged with willfully delaying or restricting an officer, suspicion of being drunk in public and violating curfew. The report was taken on Oct. 11 at 10:44 p.m.

• Steven McClure, 41, of Morgan Hill was cited and released on suspicion of being drunk in public. The report was taken at 9:37 a.m. on Oct. 12.

• A 14-year-old Morgan Hill male, a Britton Middle School student, was cited and released charged with battery and participation in a gang after an incident at the school. The report was taken on Oct. 13 at 12:28 p.m.

• A 12-year-old Morgan Hill male was taken to juvenile hall charged with vandalism. The report was taken at 7:20 p.m. on Oct. 16.

• A 16-year-old Morgan Hill female was cited and released charged with possession of marijuana on school grounds at Live Oak High. The report was taken on Oct. 17 at 7:37 a.m.

• Anthony F. Piazza, 24, of Morgan Hill was taken to county jail charged with vandalism and suspicion of being drunk in public. He was also under a parole hold. The report was taken at 2:37 a.m. on Oct. 18.

• Elida M. Sepulveda, 20, of Gilroy was taken to county jail charged with forgery. The report was taken on Oct. 20 at 11:10 a.m.

• Two 17-year-old males, one from Morgan Hill and one from Gilroy were cited and released charged with possessing a prohibited weapon and appropriated lost property. A third 17-year-old male from Morgan Hill was cited and released on the same charges but with additional charges of possession of stolen property and petty theft after an incident at the Super Mercado. The report was taken at 1:47 p.m. on Oct. 20.

• A 17-year-old Morgan Hill male was cited and released charged with possession of marijuana on school grounds and possession of tobacco on school grounds while at Central High. The report was taken on Oct. 21 at 10:32 a.m.
