Prenatal classes, lectures on coping with preteens, and sign-ups for free health insurance are among the hundreds of events listed on KIDSCAL.ORG, a new online calendar of children’s health events for Santa Clara and San Mateo counties.

Sponsored by the Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health, the free calendar offers a central source of information about community activities related to the physical, emotional, behavioral and mental health of children. The calendar includes classes for parents of children of all ages, support groups, conferences, health fairs, fundraisers, legislative hearings and an array of other activities sponsored by area nonprofit organizations.

Calendar users can browse through event listings in several ways, including by date, by city, by event subject and by target audience. Users also can search the entire event database and e-mail events to others.

The calendar is available at www.kidscal.org or by visiting the foundation home page, www.lpfch.org. Details: e-mail ev****@***ch.org or (650) 724-5778.
