August James (Gus) Teves, 78, died Friday, Sept. 29, 2006 at his home in Garden Valley, CA. He was born Aug. 5, 1928 in San Jose, CA. He served in the Korean War from 1950-1952, and the Army reserve from 1952-1956.
Mr. Teves is survived by his daughter Jami Augusta Biggs and her husband, James, of Fremont, CA, four stepchildren; Kathy Carlton of Hollister, Mike Judd of Garden Valley, Elizabeth Goates of Morrilton, Arkansas and Bobbi Judd of Hollister. Also survived by 4 step-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one step-great-grandchild, his parents Manuel and Emily Teves and 7 siblings.
Mr. Teves was a member of the catholic church.
Vigil Services will be Wednesday, October 11, 2006 at 7:00 PM at Habing Family Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be Thursday, 1:30 P.M. at San Joaquin National Cemetery, Gustine.
