Al Awbrey July 11, 1924 – September 25, 2013

After a full life, John A. Awbrey (Al), 89, passed away September 25, 2013, in Gilroy with his longtime companion, Norma Seager, by his side.
 Al was born in Exeter, CA on July 11, 1924, and moved to Gilroy in the 1960’s to pursue a career in agriculture where he was also an ordained minister and member of the Morgan Hill Masonic Lodge. After many years at the Santa Clara County Department of Agriculture as an inspector, he retired to enjoy the next chapter of his life.
 He was preceded in death by wife Dorothy, and is survived by son John Awbrey and daughter-in-law Marilyn of Morgan Hill; daughter Judith and husband Don Gregg of Visalia; grandson Gregory Holden, wife Kellie and great-grandson Cadnum; and companion Normal Seager.
