Memorial services for Hazel will be held at the Church of the Forty Niners in Columbia at 2:00 P.M., on Saturday, February 23, 2013, and the First Presbyterian Church of Gilroy at 2:00 P.M., on Friday, March 15, 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family would encourage donations in her memory to the Children’s Language Clinic of San Jose Scottish Rite, PO Box 18220, San Jose, CA 95158-8220.
 Hazel Winter passed away as she was being admitted to San Jose Medical Center, February 12, 2013, having suffered from congestive heart failure and other related diseases over the past decade.
 She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Bob Winter of Sonora, a son Sam Winter and his wife Stacey of San Jose, daughters Mari-Ellen Kihlthau of Auburn and Edie Hlavac and her husband Gary of San Diego, as well as a sister Irene Klockenteger of Temecula, nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
 She was an active member of the first Presbyterian Church of Columbia, Order of the Eastern Star Chapter 123 of Murphys and PEO Chapter LX of Sonora, and her death will be mourned by them as well as her family and friends all over the world.
