History: Art has always been a part of Curtis’ life. The idea of The Clubhouse came about after spending several years teaching art at Holy Family School in San Jose, Glazed Creations in Morgan Hill and a preschool in Santa Clara. Curtis majored in commercial art in college.
Services: The Clubhouse offers crafts of all kinds; decoupage, clay, loom knitting, jewlery, soap and even guitar lessons. It also hosts birthday parties, special workshops and ladies’ nights.
Philosophy: Children learn best in an environment that feels like it belongs to them. The clubhouse provides a place where they can work at a comfortable pace, a place where a child’s imagination can flow free and they can understand that art is truly in the eye of the beholder.
