The YMCA of Santa Clara Valley announces summer camp options for 2004.

Children 5 and older are eligible for the traditional, sports, half-day and specialty camps in Morgan Hill and resident camps in Boulder Creek.

Registration is now open.

The Mt. Madonna YMCA is offering camps at three locations in Morgan Hill and Gilroy for the summer of 2004. Sports camps, including basketball, gymnastics, soccer, roller hockey and flag football; specialty camps including equestrian, science, cooking and animals, and traditional day camp will be offered at the Mt. Madonna YMCA offices, 17666 Crest Ave.

YMCA Summer Child Care, for grades 1-6, with full or part-time schedules, weekly field trips and swimming will be offered at Paradise Elementary School. There will also be a NEW Back-To-Basics Camp at Las Animas Elementary School in Gilroy. This program provides on-site child care with limited travel and field trips but lots of fun and learning and a lower weekly fee.

Y camps are accredited by the American Camping Association, which assures parents that camp practices have been measured against strict standards and go a step beyond many state and federal laws.

A financial assistance fund is available to assist families unable to pay the full camp fee. Details: 779-0208 or 288-YMCA.
