William (Bill) Mario Perguidi went to be with his savior and parents; William Samuel and Maria Pagono Perguidi and only sibling, Luciano Vincent Perguidi, on September 23, 2015. He was born on July 3, 1936, in Springfield, MA.
Mr. Perguidi and his family moved to San Francisco when he was one year old.
He attended Catholic School in San Francisco before his family moved to Palo Alto and then later to Mountain View when he was in his late teens. He attended San Jose State University where he trained for Auto Mechanics.
In 1965, he built and opened his own shop, Mid-Field Auto on Middlefield Road in Mountain View. He was there until 1980, when he made the move to the San Martin/Gilroy area. He continued specializing in the repair of catering trucks from the inside out making them like new again. He continued until his retirement in 2009.
Survivors include his spouse, Marcia, son, Billy, daughter, Michelle, grandson, Christopher Perguidi, granddaughter, Philicia Emory, great-granddaughters; Yalicia and Luce’Ana Landers and friend, James Myrick all of the home. Grandson, Timothy Emory and great-grandsons, Christopher and Dominic of Hawaii. Granddaughters, Samantha (Tim) great- grandchildren, Timothy, Jr., Ethan, Na’Kelly and Nathaniel all of San Jose. Nephew, Mike McKee (Jean) and grandnephew, Kevin. Special long-time friend, Betty Kech of Campbell, CA and brothers-in-law, Bill Mondier and LeRoy Mondier of Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his nephew, David Perguidi of CA and brother-in-law, Mike Moindier of Oklahoma.
