Patricia A. Richardson May 12, 1928 - November 18, 2015

Patricia Ann Richardson entered into rest at the age of 87, in Monterey, CA. She was a 65 year resident of San Benito County in Hollister, CA.
 Pat was survived by her children: Cathleen St. Martin, Elizabeth Smith, David Askew, and her grandchildren: Daniel, Julie and Melissa Askew, Kathryn Guest, Cari St. Martin, Steven Smith, and Emily Vega.
 Pat was predeceased by her husband, Glen Richardson, her grandchild, Jason Askew, and her former husband, John Clay.
 Pat was a devoted mother and wonderful grandmother. She will be remembered for her dedication to tradition, and bringing our family together.
 In her professional life, Pat spent 15 years as the manager of The San Benito County Chamber of Commerce from 1975-1990, and received a congressional award from Leon Panetta for her contributions to the community, state, and nation.
 Pat was Republican Woman of the Year in 1996, a charter member of the San Benito Private Industry Council for 14 years, and was a founding member of the San Benito County Economic Development Council. Pat worked diligently on the Highway 152 committee for 10 years, securing funding for safety improvements. She was Hazel Hawkins Auxiliary President from 2008-2010. Pat spent her final years volunteering at Hazel’s Thrift Shop and Hazel’s Treasures.
 Pat left this message to her children, “When I come to the end of the road, and the sun has set for me, I want no rites in a gloom-filled room, why cry for a soul set free, missme, but let me go.”
 At Pat’s request, no memorial services or celebration of life will be held. In lieu of a memorial, donations can be sent in her name to: Jacob’s Heart, 680 West Beach Street, Watsonville, CA 95076. Please remember Pat in your hearts, memories, and donations.
