Mrs. Haro was raised in Gilroy. She was married for 51 years to her late husband. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church. She worked at Gentry’s and Gilroy Foods for 40 years. She enjoyed cooking for family gatherings and going shopping. She loved to listen to Mexican music. Being with her family was very important to her.

She was the loving mother of Henry Haro Jr. and his wife Ruth of Gilroy, Leo Haro and his wife Dianne of Hollister, Robert Haro and his wife Debora of Gilroy, Bonifacio Haro and his wife Alice of Hollister, and Mary Ellen Lujan and her husband Thomas of Gilroy; grandmother of Jason, Patricia, Bernadette, Lesley, Rachael, Camille, Bobby Jr., Michael, Tommy, Anna, Gilbert, Stephen, Yvonne, Alexis and Jennal great-grandmother of Alex, Kayla, Lorissa, Lenai, Clayton, Isabel, Julisa, Alyssa, Michael Jr. and Jacob; and dear sister of Saul Gonzales of Mexico, Josephine Sanchez of Gilroy, Joe Gonzales of Gilroy, Manuel Gonzales of Gilroy, Louie Gonzales of Gilroy, Margaret Cardenas of Gilroy and Mary Alfaro of Gilroy. She also is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Haro Sr.

Funeral Mass was Jan. 12 at St. Mary’s Church followed by burial follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and son Billy Jr.

Funeral services take place at 10:30am Monday, Jan. 17, at Gilroy Presbyterian Church. He will be taken to Ukiah for a funeral service at 2pm on Jan. 19, at Eversole Mortuary. Burial follows at Russian River Cemetery.

Local arrangements were under the direction of Habing Family Funeral Home.

The family asks that any donations be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd or a favorite charity.
