A new yoga studio is slated to open on Dec. 27 in downtown Morgan Hill.

One Yoga by YogaSource is located at 17305 Depot St. The 3,500-square-foot studio is expected to offer 35 classes per week.

The studio is owned by Linda and Steve McGrath, who also run YogaSource in Los Gatos. The Los Gatos studio boasts 15,000 visitors per month, according to YogaSource.

YogaSource is billed as the largest independently owned studio on the West Coast. As the director of the YogaSource Teacher Training Institute since its inception in 2006, Linda McGrath has nurtured hundreds of yoga instructors from across the country. She is a student of modern Buddhism, Jungian psychology and interpersonal neurobiology.

Pizza shop opens

Queens Pizza & Sandwiches celebrated its grand opening on Dec. 13.

The business, open Monday through Saturday, features a pizza menu with various toppings, in addition to other dishes such as lasagna and buffalo wings.

It is located at 16965 Monterey Road, Suite 106D, the former home of Palmina’s Pizza.

Realtors donate $10K to charities

The South County Realtor’s Alliance donated $10,000 to four local charities recently.

The beneficiaries are St. Catherine’s Reach Out, St. Joseph’s Family Center, Rebekah Children’s Services and Boccardo Family Living Center.

SCRA members raised the funds through its annual CanTree program, holding weekly raffles at its marketing/tour meetings. Fundraising kicked off in October.
