Summer Camp programs, which begin in June
Mount MadonnaYMCA, 17666 Crest Ave., has announced its YMCA Summer Camp programs, which begin in June.
Programs include:
• Sports Day Camp, at $132 a week for half days and $223 a week for full days, is for kids ages 3 up to sixth grade. Learn sports fundamentals and team work while playing games like basketball, roller hockey, soccer, flag football and much more.
• Kids entering grades 2 through 5 will see how to turn a film canister into a rocket, launch a parachuter with a pop and more in Rock It Science Camp, only $275, which will be from June 21 through 25.
• Cooking Camp, on June 14 through 18, teaches kids in grades 1 through 6 how to create delights in baking and cooking with a local chef for $275.
• On June 21 through 25 and Aug. 2 through 6, Equestrian Camp will show campers how to ride and take care of horses with the help of Bright Ranch for only $325 a week.
• Teens aged 13 through 17 can join Teen Adventure Camp on dates in June through Aug. to go rock climbing in the High Sierras, surfing in Costa Rica or do one of the many other adventures (fees vary).
• Leader-In-Training Program will show kids aged 13 to 15 how to refine leadership skills for a $100 training fee. Training dates are set for June 21-25.
