The 2006 Waste Reduction Awards Program (WRAP) application period has begun and will run through Aug. 31.
WRAP awards, sponsored by the California Integrated Waste Management Board, help California businesses and nonprofit organizations to gain public recognition for their efforts to reduce waste. WRAP provides examples of successful waste reduction techniques.
Each business will be evaluated individually. Winners receive authorization to use the WRAP winner logo with their products, advertising, and business Web sites to publicize waste reduction efforts.
