Morgan Hill celebrates Independence Day with a parade. This

’s parade theme is “America, My Home Sweet Home.” For those

to have a winning entry.

For those interested in finding out from parade professionals what it takes to have a winning entry.

A parade workshop is slated Saturday, June 11, 9:30-11:30am at the YMCA Senior Center, 17666 Crest Ave. To reserve a spot e-mail pa****@ga****.com or call 779-3387.

The workshop includes tips on how to be a successful and winning entry, parade rules, safety and parade protocol. Workshop participants will earn bonus points toward their judging category.

Parade entries are due by June 4. Early entry is encouraged, as some categories will be limited in number of participants. Applications are available at www.mhparade.com or e-mail your request to pa****@ga****.com.

Morgan Hill’s Independence Day festivities are organized and run by an all-volunteer committee (Independence Day Inc./IDI) and staffed entirely by community volunteers.

IDI is financially supported by business sponsorships, private residents’ contributions and the City of Morgan Hill.
