The annual Gilroy Memorial Day parade will take place on Monday, May 26. The parade begins at 11 a.m. at 10th and Monterey Streets and ends at Gilroy High School.

We are seeking women veterans to be in the parade. This parade continues to grow both in attendance and spectators and is a great way to show your support of our country.

A little more than a month later is the 4th of July parade in Morgan Hill. This is one of the largest 4th of July parades in Northern California. We also are seeking women veterans to participate in this parade. We’ve had a small but loyal group of women veterans participating over the years in both of these parades but we know there are many more women veterans out there and we’d love to have you in the parade with us.

Any women veterans wishing to participate in these annual parades should contact Ruth Mendes da Costa at 831-636-6592 for instructions on where to meet and what time on the day of the parade. My e-mail address is [email protected], reference parade the email.
