Dear Editor,

The Valley Transportation Authority “going bankrupt” funding BART? Cow paddies! Pure unadulterated bovine excrement! VTA was conceived insolvent and born bankrupt. Just how insolvent does a transit agency have to be before it is “bankrupt?”

If The Times employed VTA’s strategy, we would have prepared its bankruptcy petition together with its articles of incorporation.

Transportation it ain’t – welfare is its true nature. Transit welfare is affordable for only a small segment because once you get to the collapse point, this lifeboat’s going down.

Our leaders have us on the road to serfdom.
