Dear Editor,

I must vehemently disagree with Bob Blaine’s argument in his recent letter to the editor against the “unfair” proposed library tax proposal.

Virtually all taxes collected are “unfair” to one group or another.

The public library system is one of the few government services from which anyone may derive equal benefit.

Regardless of your income or level of education, you have equal access to all the library’s resources.

The entire community benefits from having the library available for use by all, open as many hours as possible.

Please support this vital community resource by voting for the library parcel tax and promptly returning your ballot.
