Dear Editor,

Please vote no on Proposition 74. Teachers in California do not get tenure after two years of teaching. They must teach three years in the same district in order to get tenure. It has been that way well over 50 years. If a teacher changes school districts within California, he or she must go through the tenure process all over again.

Teaching five years does not make them any better than teaching three years.

Please vote yes on proposition 75. People can still have part of their union dues go to politics if they want. It just gives those who do not agree with the union hierarchy political views the freedom to say how their money should be used. Otherwise it is a dictatorship.
