In the race for three seats on the Morgan Hill Unified School District board, several more prospects have qualified since Thursday for the Nov. 6 election.

The $18,000 cash theft from the Garlic Festival is in fact being investigated by police, said Gilroy Police Chief Denise Turner despite the Gilroy Police Department indicating last week that they were not.

A Santa Clara County Sheriff’s Deputy was arrested by Morgan Hill Police July 4 for driving under the influence. Tyeler Fleckner, 27, who joined the force in November 2006, was not placed on administrative leave as a result, according to Sgt. Jose Cardoza, sheriff’s spokesman.

LONDON – In summing up London 2012, the temptation is to deliver a glowing eulogy.
