A 12-year-old boy riding a bicycle collided with a motorist near the intersection of Monterey Road and Dunne Avenue Friday afternoon, police said.

The suspect in the July 22 murder of a 21-year-old man at the Sobrato Transitional Apartments on Monterey Street is “actively avoiding” police contact — and because police have not obtained the handgun used in the shooting, he is considered armed and dangerous.

The man who allegedly robbed a Morgan Hill convenience store at knifepoint Aug. 4 surrendered to authorities and confessed to his involvement in the crime, police said.
