The Wildlife Education and Rehabilitation Center will be releasing a Barn Owl at the Morgan Hill Outdoor Sports Center on Friday, October 12, 2012 at 6:30 PM.  The barn owl was the sole survivor of 3 downy nestlings that had fallen from their tree nest in Morgan Hill in June.   WERC’s educational (non-releasable) barn owl, Barnadette, will be making a personal appearance at the event. Gilroy police arrests Sept. 26 through Oct. 1

After last week’s nail-biting win over Willow Glen, things won’t get much easier for the Sobrato football team tonight, when it returns to the field against leaguepower Leland.

The Live Oak boys and girls varsity cross country teams both beat league opponents Del Mar and San Jose in the heat Wednesday. Overall times were slowed a bit by the conditions, however, the boys improved to 4-1 and the girls 5-0.

Despite falling to 2-7 on the year, the Live Oak boys water polo team was happy with its play Wednesday in a 10-7 loss to Willow Glen.
