The Sobrato girls soccer team improved to 2-0 on Wednesday with a 10-0 win over Anzar High in San Juan Bautista. The Hawks now fall to 0-4.

The football teams at Gilroy and Christopher high schools will move from the Gabilan Division to the lower Pacific Division within the Monterey Bay League next season, the MBL announced Wednesday.

HONORS: Kahikoleiulu Dudoit: Navy Seaman Recruit Kahikoleiulu Dudoit, a 2011 graduate of Central High School, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill.

Cosmo is a 6-year-old cat who has been declawed, so he is an indoor only cat. He is loving, gentle and good with other cats. More than 1,200 Silicon Valley animals need a home for the holidays.  Silicon Valley animal shelters are launching “Shelters First” (www.sheltersfirst.org), an awareness campaign that targets the 67% of Santa Clara county households that love pets – encouraging everyone to find their next pet at a shelter.  (That’s over 400,000 families!)  Currently, only 25% of pet owners adopt from shelters.
