Hearing for former MHDA director continued

Former Morgan Hill Downtown Association Executive Director Jorge Briones appeared at South County Courthouse Friday for a plea hearing on charges that he embezzled the nonprofit organization’s revenues, but attorneys agreed they needed a few more days to review the case files.

Police interrupt home burglary attempt

Morgan Hill police interrupted a residential burglary and arrested three suspects last week after an observant resident reported suspicious behavior in the neighborhood, police said. 

Grant funds available for Historical Heritage projects

Santa Clara County is accepting applications for up to $252,000 in grant funds available through the 2013 Historical Heritage Grant Program, according to County staff.
