Harvest Coffee House moves

The Morgan Hill Chamber of Commerce was out to support the move of the Harvest Coffee House to its new location at 1295 E. Dunne Ave., Suite 100 in Morgan Hill. Joining Chamber President John Horner and Chairman of the Board Rich Firato, were ambassadors and board members, including Lorraine Welk, Leonette and Tony Stafford, Persis McGinty, Suzanne Barrett, Tim Hennessy and Teresa Martin. Mayor Steve Tate and Councilwoman Marilyn Liebers were also present to watch Harvest Coffee House owner, Frank Alvarez cut the ribbon to the new store.

Special Olympics torch to pass through South Valley

The Special Olympics Torch, the Flame of Hope, will be making stops in the South Valley Wednesday during the 2013 Law Enforcement Torch Run. 

Gilroy man found guilty of murder

The Gilroy man who drunkenly plowed his truck into a young family and killed a 4-year-old boy three years ago was found guilty by a jury for second-degree murder this week.

Elderly man found dead inside motorhome

At 7:37 p.m. June 14, Gilroy Police officers and Gilroy Fire personnel were dispatched to the 0-100 block of West Eighth Street regarding a possible dead body that had been located within a motorhome, according to a press release sent early this morning.
