Two suspects sought in Nov. 9 shooting

One victim treated for injuries

Morgan Hill police are looking for two suspects involved in a shooting that left a victim injured early Saturday morning, according to authorities.

About 1:50am Nov. 9, officers were dispatched to the area of Church Street and East Edmundson Avenue on a report that multiple gunshots had been fired, according to MHPD Sgt. Bill Norman.

When officers arrived, they located an occupied vehicle and a nearby residence that had been struck by gunfire, police said. The parked vehicle was occupied by two people just prior to the shooting.

One of the occupants of the vehicle was grazed by a bullet and treated for injuries, police said. The victim was later released from the hospital.

Witnesses at the scene said two unknown subjects approached the parked vehicle from behind and opened fire at the vehicle and nearby home, according to police. Nobody inside the home was struck by bullets.

Immediately after the shooting, the suspects fled the area and are currently on the loose, police said.

MHPD officers gathered several pieces of evidence at the scene and are actively investigating the shooting. The motive for the shooting is unknown, police said.

Anyone with information about this incident can call Sgt. Norman at (669) 253-4982.
